I have decided to sell some amps off and get a Mark V.
Here is my Tan Heartbreaker combo. It is in perfect working condition with lots of upgrades. It basically has the full set of mods from my shop!
The cabinet has seen it's fair share of gigs and is a litte rough around the edges, but I think it gives the amp some really great mojo!

I have since modified his to the exact same specs as this one and it has a lot more sparkle, highs, and harmonics!
Here is the list of the mods and work done:
Tune-Up - Cleaned all tube sockets, pots, jacks, etc.
Bias Pot - The original Bias switch is still active, but I added a bias pot as well. The switch allows you adjust the bias to High or Low on the Bias Pot. I have used 6L6's, KT-66's, 6V6's, & EL34's in this amp. They all have their own distinct tonal qualities. I like the JJ E34L's and KT-66's the best!
Super High Gain mod - The Lust channel has my Super High Gain mod. It eliminates the ability to use the High Gain setting on the Love channel, but basically takes the Lust channel into Tremoverb or SLO territory. Of course, it's a different amp with different voltages, etc., so it doesn't sound exactly like either one of those amps.
4 Way Mid Sellect - I have added a 4 Way Mid Sellect on the Lust channel. It is engaged when the Fat switch is turned on. This knob is bypassed when the switch is set to 'Trim.'
Bright Switches - The High/Low Gain switches are now Bright switches. The Love channel's Bright switch is a true Fender style Bright. The Lust channel's Bright switch is a Soldano style Bright switch.
Better Reverb Mod - Before the mod, the reverb on these amps is decent, but nothing spectacular. After the mod, it is very similar to the Lonestar's reverb.
Better Cleans - The cleans are much better on the Love channel than they are with the original circuit. Much more Fender like.
Master Volume Bypass - The old Boost switch on the Love channel bypasses the Master Volume. The knob will still affect how loud the amp is because it provides the amount of gain that the tube stage has, but it allows all of the signal to pass through it. I set the switch to Boost and crank the Master. This provides a very organic Fender type of feel with great breakup!
Trim/Fat Switch - on the Love channel now works with the lower gain of the channel. It is basically a midrange boost.
Solo Boost - There is now a Solo boost knob on the front that is footswitchable.
Loop Bypass - The Loop is not bypassable via footswitch. This does not bypass the entire circuit, just the Send and Return jacks.
Custom Footswitch - I built a 3 button footswitch that controls the channel, Solo, and Loop Bypass. There is a small switch on the back of the footswitch that provides LED's for the Boost and the Loop bypass. It uses a standard mono cable that will plug into the front for channel switching. It also uses a stereo cable (included) that plugs into the back to control the Solo and Loop functions.
Side Handles - I cut some heavy duty handles into the sides of the combo. I feel this is a much better way to carry a heavy and large combo amp. You can see in the pictures that I over cut on one of them. It is very slight. My son was playing outside while I did this. He fell and I looked to see if he was alright. Should have put the saw up 1st!
The preamp tubes are fairly new. They are a mixture of JJ, Groove Tube C's, Mesa, and Sovteks. I basically have tons of tubes and rolled them in and out of every position to find the ones that sounded best to me.
The power tubes are brand new JJ E34L's.
The rectifier is NOS.
Speakers are currently 2 nicely broken in Weber California 8 ohm speakers wired in series for a 16 ohm load. I might have a pair of older British made Vintage 30's that I can throw in.
I have a great many mod customers on the board that will attest to the quality of my work.
Temple12 has a Heartbreaker with these exact same mods, with the exception of the Solo and the Loop bypass.
mdortona & babow2 also have Heartbreakers that I have modified.
